Fit PC2i Nettop
The Fit-PC from CompuLab is a tiny nettop only 1″ tall and 4″ x 4.5″ thick. The company has been pumping out these low power, fanless system and now they’re introducing its first Windows 7 model, the Fit-PC2i.
The new version features a 1.1GHz to 2GHz Intel Atom Z5xx-series processor, up to 2GB of RAM, a 2.5″ HDD bay, WiFI, 4 USB ports, and audio I/O jacks. It will be available with a choice of operating systems including Windows 7, Windows Server, and Ubuntu Linux. It’s designed to consume just 6 to 8 watts of power.
The Fit PC2i is scheduled to ship in January. The current Fit PC2 is available now at Amazon for just $234 with Free Shipping.
AOpen XC Mini
The AOpen XC Mini’s glossy black shell only measures 18CM x 16CM x 6CM. but this barebones unit supports Intel’s Mobile Core 2 Duo (Penryn) processors, giving it a serious horsepower advantage over it’s Intel Atom nettop brethren.
The XC also has room for a 2.5″ SATA drive, gigabit LAN, 6 USB 2.0 ports, NVidia ION graphics, and also features HDMI output and an eSATA port at the back.
AOpen shows some impressive benchmarks using an Intel P7450 on their site – a 3D Mark 03 score of 2023 and Windows 7 experience index of 4.7 overall (4.7 on the CPU and 5.4 for 3D graphics).
NettopReviews UK covers this new nettop launched by Asus, and currently selling in the UK for about 330GBP (~$500). It features a super-multi DVD burner, dual-core Atom 330 processor and NVidia ION graphics.
Other specs are: 2GB RAM (4GB max), 250GB HDD, Gigabit LAN, 802.11n Wi-Fi.
Ports: 1x LAN, 1x eSATA, HDMI, VGA, 6x USB, S/PDIF, Mic and headphone, Card Reader and built-in Antenna.

Foxconn Qbox Nettop
NetbookNews.de reports on this new nettop by a relatively unknown manufacturer – at least on the consumer side of things. Foxconn produces the Qbox, but more usually, they are the company that builds products for other large PC venodors like IBM, Apple, etc. So for now, this super slim nettop is called the Qbox, but don’t be suprised if you it sold under another brand name in a store near you.
On to the nettop – is a tiny! The Qbox measures just under an inch thick. It’s about 9.8″ x 6.6″ in length and width and weight just under 1.5lbs. Under the hood, it features pretty standard specs; a 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU, 1G of RAm, a 250GB hard drive, 5.1 channel audio, Ethernet, and 3 USB ports. It has a card reader, audio jacks, and a VGA port.
Reports are that it will sell for about $299 when launched.
Haleron H-BOX Nvidia Ion Nettop
A PC maker called Haleron is launching a new dual core, Nvidia Ion powered nettop. The Haleron H-BOX is powered by a dual core Intel Atom 330 CPU and NVIDIA ION graphics – all in a slim line case and a weight of 2.2lbs.
The PC features 5 USb ports, an HDMI output, Ethernet, VGA, mic and headphone jacks and a flash card reader. It users 20-25 watts of power and sports a 320GB hard drive and 2GB of RAM. It’s available with Windows XP, Linux, or Windows 7.
No word yet on a release date, but we say, bring on the dual core, Nvidia nettops!
