MSI Windtop AE1900 Disected
MSI’s new nettop, the AE1900 Windtop looks nice and tiday on the outside, but but as you can see, it’s a different story on the inside. There aren’t many surprises to be found in there, but it does look like anyone hoping to upgrade the RAM may be out of luck, as the standard 2GB of RAM is soldered on with no slot for expansion — although there seems to be a bit of confusion as to whether that’ll be the case in the actual retail version, or just this early version sent out for review.

MSI Wind Top AE1900
MSI’s eco-friendly Wind Top AE1900 has already been introduced and spotted in Hanover earlier this year, but MSI s notorious for withholding price and availability information until the last possible moment.
Well, the details are finally out:
The 18.5-inch all-in-one PC is available with an Atom 230 or 330 CPU, a 1,366 x 768 resolution touchscreen, integrated GMA950 graphics, 2GB of DDR2-533 RAM, a 160GB or 250GB hard drive, 4-in-1 multicard reader, dual-layer DVD writer, WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, a 1.3 megapixel webcam and audio in / out sockets to boot. Two configurations are available (both are shown after the break), with the lesser of the two going for $529.
Even more details after the break

A new Atom Based Shuttle Nettop
Shuttle the company notorious for pumping out the same barebone rectangle with a different model name and a few extra ports has finally done something a touch different, and what we’re dealt is the X270V.
This so-called Mini-PC relies on Intel’s 1.6GHz Atom 330 to process, while 2GB of DDR2 RAM keeps things in order. There’s also gigabit Ethernet, 6-channel audio, a PS/2 connector for the retro folks, six USB sockets and VGA / DVI outputs. Shuttle also claims this bugger is energy efficient, though it doesn’t go into great detail about just how much it’ll save you each month. Oh, and it also comes loaded with openSUSE 11 (a Linux flavor, for those unaware). Interested? Move to Europe and plop down at least €299 ($390).

Acer Aspire Revo Nettop
Yet again, the rumors were (almost) true and even a day earlier than anticipated, Acer is launching what amounts to NVIDIA’s first Ion-based nettop .
The AspireRevo debuts today alongside a plethora of other Acer wares, boasting a 1.6GHz Intel Atom 230 processor, up to 4GB of RAM, up to 250GB of HDD space, a 4-in-1 card reader, HDMI / VGA outputs, gigabit Ethernet, six USB 2.0 sockets, audio in / out, Windows Vista Home Premium / Basic and a svelte black and white enclosure that measures just 7.1- x 7.1- x 1.2-inches. The built-in Ion GPU means that this bugger is completely capable of handling 1080p (and thus, Blu-ray) content, DirectX 10 and even mildly demanding games such as Call of Duty 4 .
