Asus has been showing off their Eee keyboard since CES, but what is it? It’s not a netbook since there is no screen that you would want to use for web browsing, so it fits the description of a nettop more accurately. It runs Windows XP, or as in the video, possibly the Linux based Moblin OS on an Intel Atom CPU, 1 GB of ram and 16 or 32 GB of SSD storage. Wireless HDMI will be available to stream to your TV.
ASUS have repeatedly assured us that the Eee Keyboard will launch this month, priced at around $400.
What do you think -should we consider it a Nettop?
We covered the imminent release of this hot new nettop a few days ago and now we bring you it in video. Enjoy.
The Eee Box EB1006 comes with Windows XP Home or Windows Vista Home Basic. It features ATI Radeon HD4530 graphics supporting DirectX 10. Also included, a 160Gb 5400rpm hard drive, WiFi-N and a 5 in one card reader.
MSI’s traditional Wind Top AE1900 has been shipping here in the US for a while now, but today two new models have been added to the lineup. The AE1900 Black and Dual Core models have just landed at Amazon for just about $600.
The whole press release is after the break.

Asus Eee box B1006
DigiTimes is reporting that ASUS is planning an Ion-based Eee Box B1006 for Q3 of 2009. This could be a killer home theatre PC solution, provided Asus teams it up with a capable processor from Intel – hopefully a dual core Atom. Ion-based Eee PC netbooks are coming too, but those don’t have a production schedule yet according to the Taiwanese tattle-rag.
