Asus Eee Top EB1012P

The intentions from Asus are clear with the new EB1012P nettop.  With a more powerful than usual Intel Atom D510 processor (1.66GHz, dual core), next generation ION, HDMI and 5.1 channel audio, this nettop looks destined to be a HTPC out of the box.  Of course, there’s also VGA out, standard audio jacks, a card reader, USB 3.0 , eSATA, LAN, Gigabit LAN, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, 2.5” SATA storage (250GB / 320GB HDD) and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Price has been rumored to be around $400 but availability is not known yet.

Check out the hands-on video after the break.

So what is the diff between this and the 1501, just the DVD drive?

Geesh, when are all these (next gen) HTPCs going to finally make it to market? Seems like we've been hearing about these for months. I want one!
