Dell has outed an updated version of the Zino HD, and it offers even more power, while keeping an affordable starting price of $299.99.
The base model gets you a desktop computer with a 2.3GHz AMD Athlon II V140 single core processor, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4250 integrated graphics, 2GB of DDR3 memory, a 250GB, 7200RPM hard drive, and a DVD burner. The computer also runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and comes with a USB keyboard and mouse.
You can also upgrade to a dual or even quad core processor, Windows 7 Professional, a larger hard drive, although those features will cost you a bit more.
It looks like there should also be WiFi options and the option to add an AMD HD 5450 1GB graphics card.
The computer includes HDMI, VGA, USB, Ethernet, eSATA, mic, headphone, and S/PDIF ports and 7.1 channel audio. There’s also an integrated infrared receiver which lets you use a media center remote control without an adapter. It measures 7.8″ x 7.8″ x 3.4″ and weighs about 3.5 pounds.

Habey has a follow-up to their tiny Habey BIS-6620 low power desktop with a new model called the BIS-6622. The old 6620 featured an Intel Atom Z510 CPU and GMA 500, but the Habey BIS-6622 uses a brand new Intel Atom E6xx Tunnel Creek chip.
The computer measures 5″ x 5″ x 1.75″ and has room for a 1.8″ hard drive and up to 2GB of memory. There’s also a mini PCI Express slot.
The Habey BIS-6622 has Intel GMA 600 graphics, which I’m hearing should be noticeably faster than the GMA 500 graphics that came with earlier Atom Z5xx series chips. The computer also has HDMI and VGA outputs and is capable of pumping out video with resolutions up to 1920 x 1080 at 50Hz or 1280 x 768 at 60Hz. There’s support for hardware acceleration for H.264, MPEG2, MPEG4, WMV9, and VC1 video up to 1080i resolutions.
There are also 4 USB ports plus an internal USB port, Ethernet, and audio ports. The computer can run Windows, Windows Embedded, and Linux.

SlashGear has posted a review of the ARTiGO A1100, and unlike most of its nettop competition powered by Intel Atom, this little nettop, predictably uses a VIA Nano processor. The A1100 is relatively low cost for a nettop, can you can get one for about $230, but that’s barebones (ie. that price doesn’t include the memory, hard drive, operating system, or optional WiFi.)
According to SlashGear the computer was able to handle 720p HD video playback, but struggled with 1080p video but it also only supports hardware acceleration for Windows Media Player, not VLC or other media software. It also had a hard time multitasking, and a bug prevented it from using the HDMI output as the default, which means you’ll need to have a VGA monitor or TV handy if you want to boot the computer — even if you then plan to switch over to an HDMI connection manually.
You can find more details at SlashGear.
