Viewsonic has launched a new range of nettops, including this pair, the ViewSonic VOT120 and VOT121. Both of these tiny nettops that can be mounted to the back of your computer monitor, or television monitor.

Spec-wise, the VOT120 and VOT121 feature Draft-N WiFi, and a DVI output port to connect to your monitor. Somewhat oddly, they also include an eSata port to connect external storage.

The VOT120 is based on Intel’s Atom processor, while the VOT121 packs more of a punch with Intel’s CULV platform.

Acer Nornet Nettop

Acer is reportedly developing a nettop computer that will make use of NVIDIA’s Ion platform and will bundle a low power Intel Atom CPU with a high performing NVIDIA graphics chip.  What results should be a low profile, low power computer capable of handling modern video games and even 1080p video.

These nettop computers are sort of like netbookks without displays or keyboards.   From the picture, the Acer machine would actually be able to attach to the back of a standard LCD monitor.

No pricing or availability details yet, but we’ll have them as soon as they’re out.
